Tax Deed Surplus Information

After the tax deed sale is complete, the clerk determines who may be entitled to any surplus funds. Claims must be filed within 120 days of the date of the surplus notice, except for property owner claims. After 120 days, information regarding disbursement of claims can be directed to our board finance clerk, Michelle Nolind, by phone (850) 747-5729 or by email to mnolind@baycoclerk.com. This process is managed by a private attorney.
